On December 12, 1993 menino played their first concert in the Saint Pius church in Ahrweiler. The sold out tribute-concert collected DM 5000,- for Brazilian street kids. The 'menino' project was founded. Its aim is the fusion of Brazilian and European culture as well as the long-term sponsorship of the street kids project in Maceio, in the northeast of Brazil.
